Admission into the National Diploma (ND) Computer Science programme at the Adamawa State College of Health Science and Technology, Michika, is through:
Completing an online Application through the admission portal (https://ascoht.admissions.cloud/)
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the National Diploma (ND) Computer Science programme are as follows:
Five (5) credit level passes in GCE, WAEC, NABTEB or its Equivalents at not more than two sittings.
The five subjects must include:
English Language
Mathematics
Physics
Any other subject (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, etc.)

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be at least 16 years old by October of the admission year.
Candidates must provide original copies of their certificates and other relevant documents during registration.

Brief History

The Computer Science Department was established in 2024 as a distinct department, carved out of the Department of General Studies, Adamawa State College of Health Science and Technology, Michika. The creation of the department was in response to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the field of computer science. The department started with a small team of dedicated lecturers and a handful of students, offering a diploma program in Computer Science. Over the years, the department has grown in leaps and bounds, introducing new programs, including Certificate course in computer science and the National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science.

To provide high-quality education and training in computer science, emphasizing theoretical foundations, practical skills, and innovative research, to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to succeed in the rapidly evolving field of computer science and technology.
